A lead slug is inserted in the base for added weight
This is the first paddle I made. The paddle is mounted on an oak base and the base is filled with a lead slug for
added weight (~2 lb). Arm tension and contact spacing are fully adjustable. The dot-dash arms pivot using precision
ball bearings for smooth operation and the contacts are silver to insure low contact resistance. The paddles to the right are
shown with the optional walnut wood finger pieces. The key is coated with lacquer before assembly to insure a long-lasting
shine.
