The P-4 design is the result of over 40 years of CW experience and the desire to make the best feeling paddle possible with zero compromise. I
personally think it is the nicest paddle that I make. The paddle is one heavy hunk of brass and weighs about
5 pounds. The weight insures stability on the desk and a solid feel second to none. To compare .... the
popular Mercury paddle: 3lb-11oz, the Vibroplex single lever vibrokeyer: 3lb-2oz, the Schurr Profi: 3lb-8oz, and the Kent: 2lb-13oz.
The P-4 uses precision ball bearings in the top and bottom of each dot-dash lever support pin for smooth frictionless movement.
The silver contacts are 3/16" in diameter and carefully aligned for positive contact. The dot/dash levers are spring loaded
and fully adjustable for individual tension. Paddle dimensions are 3-1/2"w / 4"d / 2-1/2"h. The contact and spring
adjustment dowels are knurled for ease of setting. Prior to assembly each paddle component is coated with a lacquer formulated
specifically for brass to provide lasting brilliance. Optional Walnut or Rosewood finger pieces are available for a small
additional price.
