In 1963 I purchased a brand new Swan 350. I was a broke sophmore in high school and this was a dream station. It ran 400
watts PEP input. I felt like a BIG GUN after using a Central Electronics 20A that ran 20 watts. Narrow CW using the Swan
was your ear. It uses a broad 5 pole 2.7 Khz filter. It sounds great on both transmit and receive. In
its day it was a lot of radio for the money. This is the white face model that was the first version made. Newer
Swan 350s have a blue band on the dial. Over the past 10 years I purchased 3 white face Swan 350 radios. I took
the best-of-the-best from each radio and made one really nice one. It sounds great and shows 260 watts on the wattmeter.
What was really amazing was that the radio's alignment was right on the money after all these years sitting around. Also,
a unique feature was that the S-Meter read from right to left.
